Puteri Gunung Ledang

In last Monday class, we were sitting chair and watching an 2 hours plus Movie(My butt is hurted~just kidding).That movie called "Putri Gunung Ledang". Because it's called Malaysian Movie and it's got 10 questions to ask us when we were watching it all the time.
                            
                         

This movie tells a myth story about a princess Gusti Putri left her palace and live in Gunung Ledang. She was hoping lover Hang Tuah will live in Gunung Ledang forever since they met and fall in love. The King from Majapahit Kingdom is angry because of Denak Kingdom is attacking Majapahit Kingdom.  Therefore, Gusti Adipati offers his sister Gusti Putri to marriage with Sultan of Demak. Hang Tuah follows his Sultan's order,travelling in Gunung Ledang to find princess and propose Sultan's wedding to her. She agreed with the proposal from Sultan because Hang Tuah cannot disobey with Royal family's orders. Again, Gusti Adipati is angry of Hang Tuah and combat with him.In the end of combat, Hang Tuah is guilty of hurting his hope that saving his people.He resign his job and tells others that no body will find him after he leave. Sultan has the determination to marry princess according to the seven prohibitive conditions. While he knows the last conditions is one bowl from his fondest and only son(Sultan's son) and get the blood from his son. Princess appeared and candid that she is refusing to marry Sultan. Sultan is angry and curse her that before the next sunlight she need to go back to Gunung Ledang, not to appear in anyplace.If someone else have meet you, he or she will cough until die. Hang Tuah rushed to see her one last time when Bendahara told him the curse of Sultan.However, he failed to see her when the sunlight is coming out.

In 10 questions that lecturer set, I WILL answer three question following below.

In one scene, Gustri Putri said "Saya ingin merdeka." What did MERDEKA meant in the film then in Malaysia now?

Answer: The sentences "Saya ingin merdeka" means to Gusti Putri needs a freedom from any kind of arrange marriage and do whatever she wants. In Malaysia, the words "Merdeka" means to people that we are independent and free in our country since year 1957. 

The Tuah-Jebat conflict the tension between loyalty to the state (authority) and loyalty to friendship.How is the tension of loyalty being represented in "Putri Gunung Ledang"?

Answer: The combat between Hang Tuah and Gusti Adipati  has creates a tension of loyatly and the loyalty to relationship between two Kingdoms (Melaka Kingdom and Majapahit Kingdom) in "Putri Gunung Ledang".

Name two examples of the tension of loyalty in real Malaysian politics or history.

Answer: The examples are the prices of Petroleum has increase consistently and the Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak has warned the other parties members to show loyalty to leaders due to the case of funding scandal.

It was day to visit a  a nice and comfortable renovated printing workshop. I arrived there around 2pm and I didn't know all the classmate reached there early than me. During the time I had lunch there while they are waiting for the talk show started. Principle of Rukun Negara Malaysia

Last week in the lecture class, Dr Carmen gave us a task about finding the principle of Rukun Negara. Is it a good things to learn back again or is a nightmare for me?Well, at least I able to discover on what is it and how's the Rukun Negara coming from. Rukun Negara, called that National Principle,is the Malaysian declaration which Malaysian people will institute the national philosophy from the independent day until nowadys. The v ision of the Rukun Negara is for the realization of the social contract agreed upon by the major races and d octrine to achieve unity for the sake of harmony and prosperity since the reaction to the race riot of 13 May incident happened in Malaysia .  It was formulated and held by the national consultative council (NCC) Tunku Abdul Razak. The aim of creating Rukun Negara is to harmonize and unite among races in Malaysia.
